PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR SERIES - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

This is your opportunity to share your experience, expertise, insights and knowledge with the attendees of the ATSNZ Disability Expo!

The ATSNZ Disability Expo is THE event for showcasing products and services designed for the rehabilitation, aged care, home care markets as well as leisure and recreation markets. Be a part of the Professional Seminar Series where you'll present to those attending the Expo. 

Abstracts are welcomed from a range of presenters including those with a disability, impacted by disability, researchers, clinicians, service providers, policy makers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. 

The Programme Committee are interested in the below topics, however would also love to receive submissions on other suggestions:

  • Assistive Technology developments e.g. emerging technologies, research, regulatory changes and Government information. 
  • Research and clinical instruction, best practice guidelines, techniques for assessment or Government information.
  • Real life experiences of those impacted by a disability - whether it's your own disability or a significant other/family member.
  • Research/case studies including on how assistive technologies improve mental health.
  • Innovations in evidence-based approaches to the treatment, rehabilitation and overall care of people with a disability.
You'll have the opportunity to network with like-minded people, connect with attendees who have lived experience with disabilities, and build you profile within the sector. 

To complete your abstract submission you will need:
  • Abstract title.
  • Abstract copy - max 150 words.
  • Speaker contact information.
  • Short speaker biography.
Presentation slots are between 30 - 45 minutes each. We will work with successful submissions to confirm the timings of each individual presentation. 

Please note, the system will allow you to save a draft submission, allowing you to return at a later date to make any changes/additions before you submit for the Programme Committees review. 

Ensure you submit your abstract by Wednesday 31 July, 11pm. We will be in touch in August to confirm whether your abstract has been successful, or otherwise.
